Taken the path at Virle Treponti in a few kilometers (km) we meet with that which comes from Brescia. It continues in the direction of Salò until you cross the road connecting Mazzano to Molinetto. Going towards the county of Pontenove in Bedizzole, we take what for centuries was a major Roman roads, the route Emila Gallica, which connected Burdigola (Bordeaux) with Constantinople. In the hamlet of Pontenove in Bedizzole, cross the beautiful stone bridge with the back of donkey, with the central chapel built in the eighteenth century. On our right, on the left bank of the river “Chiese” is located the medieval church dedicated to the Annunciazione with Romanesque apses and the ruins of the baptismal at the front of the church. Nearby, benches and tables for relaxation. The path continues, slightly uphill in the direction of the hamlet of Salago where at the junction with the road to Ponte San Marco, we take the trail passing next to a farmhouse, which we leave on our right. We are now in the country and we can ride in peace. After a couple of curves and a slight climb, the bike path follows the seriola of Lonato where we can admire the agrarian landscape of the Garda inland with gentle hills until the hamlet of Monteroseo. At the end of the deep downhill, we take the road in the meadows until Sedena of Lonato where we are behind the morainic hills and the track is slightly uphill. The road bows to the left around the hill, and brings us quickly to the stop on the road Lonato - Padenghe that we cross. We take towards Maguzzano, until the Renaissance Abbey of Maguzzano. We follow the left wall of the historic monastery until the end, where we turn right between olive groves and wooded spots. Now we can admire, in the distance, Padenghe and the wide gulf of Lake Garda. At the end of the path we leave the street taking quickly on the right a trail through the woods: it’s mostly an agrarian road with a climb, where we can admire the panorama of the lake reaching for the top of “Mount Cross”. From here the road descends quickly to Desenzano. From the city, we can return by train or continue to Pozzolengo.
